THE IPAD!

Michael had been begging me for this iPad for months now. I pushed the idea away for so long. I thought it was such a waste of money and there was no point at all to have it if we have a desktop and a laptop. After his car was totaled and I was the lucky one that got a new car and he got stuck with my old car. I started to feel a little guilty. I finally promised him that he could get one once we returned from our family reunion. I knew that if he got it before it would be a distraction for not only him but for all the little kids that were there and I didn't want anything happening to it.... That didn't last long. The day we were leaving for the reunion Michael had to head into school for a bit and I had to run some errands as well. I was in target grabbing a few t shirt's for Michael and I walked buy the electronics and saw that they had iPads there. I figured it would be more exciting if it was a surprise so I bought it right there on the spot. I am NOT a good secret keeper and had the hardest time keeping my mouth shut until Michael got home. I hide the iPad at the bottom of the target bag with all his shirts. He finally got home, I told him his new shirts were in a bag next to his suitcase and that he needed to still pack them. He replied by saying thanks and went into the kitchen for a snack. Are you kidding me! I am trying so hard not to have a smile on my face or give it away but I'm dying inside! So I distract myself with my book and try not to think about it. 3 min go by, 5 min go by, 10 min go by... I couldn't stand it any longer! I finally snap a little and say go look at your shirts and pack we got to go! He was a bit surprised by my attitude and told me to relax.. Oh no he didn't! He walked into the bedroom opened the bag, turned to me and gave me a big hug and kiss and jumped up and down! It was so cute and he was so excited and thankful! After about 5 min of playing with the iPad I told him that I wanted my own and he just laughed at me. He is attached to the hip with that thing like it's his child. He then proceeded to tell me that now we need the apple TV. When will this kid be satisfied? Haha

  1. Michael is pretty cute when he gets excited about things! I can imagine how hard it must have been knowing it was in the bag and that he hadn't seen it yet. I would have been dying too.
