No shave November

Michael loves to do the No shave November every month. Apparently its for a good cause but he has no clue what for. It's just an excuse to grow out a crazy beard and then......

 shave to get an "awesome" mustache! 

House update!

On Saturday our house looked like this and on Tuesday it looked.......

 Everything is really coming along and we should be in the house by the end of January!!

 This window we found IN the shower of the master bathroom! It is huge right? I was in a panic thinking we signed off on something like this. I called the builder and it was a mistake and it will be fixed asap! I was so relieved!

Black Friday

This year for Thanksgiving we went down to Las Vegas to spent the weekend with his Mom. We had such a fun weekend and Jenny and I shopped until we dropped!! 

Twilight

My Mother and Sister in law are HUGE Twilight fans. I have never read any of the books but I go to every movie with them each time it comes out. My Mother in law always flies into town just to see it with us. I always look forward to it every year and I am sad to say that this was the last one. This year at the theater the had vampire and wolfs men to take pictures with. She was too afraid to take a picture with them so I was the only one to jump in with her. 

Book Club

Michael's Aunt has formed this really fun book club for my sister in laws and the cousins. Every month she assigns a book for us to read and then has the most amazing activity/party to go with it. This particular month was special. Michael's Grandmother named Frankie passed away a few years ago. I never knew her very well since by the time I met her she had severe alzheimer's. We read one of her favorite books called "On growing up tough" and Aunt Shelly planned an amazing weekend getaway for all us girls and did all of Grandma Frankie's favorite things to celebrate her birthday. We went to the ballet, dinner, and stayed at the Little America hotel. We got the cutest gift baskets with all of Frankie's favorite things from pearl necklaces to adorable book marks. Frankie was a very loving and easy going person. She also got us these shirts that say "Frankie says relax" because thats what she used to say to everyone. It was an incredible weekend.

Halloween

A couple days before Halloween I spent some time with my niece Stella. We made mummy dogs, frosted pumpkin sugar cookies and ended the night with Monster's inc. She is at such a fun age now and enjoy every moment with her.

 On Halloween we over to Michael's sister's house to do some trick or treating with the kids. Stella was a doctor, Emmitt was a chicken and Ashlynn was a flower. Stella was so sweet with sharing her candy with the other trick or treaters. She gave a piece of her own candy to EVERY kid that came to the door.

Conference

My mom and sister came up for conference weekend. It was such a short weekend but we had so much fun! We even got to see Xander!

Moving out

We have been living in this wonderful condo for the last year and were excited that our new home was only minutes away and would make such an easy transition. Well unfortunately the owner lost the condo and it went to auction and had to move asap, we found this all out within a matter of a week. So we frantically started to make plans. We were only a few months out to our house being finished so we made the decision to live with the in-laws. After telling us we had to move they also let us know that they were coming the next day to take ALL the appliances! It was an interesting grocery week but we got creative.

Kelly's Wedding

I can't believe that my best friend since 6th grade got married! Kelly has been such an incredible friend and amazing example to me over the years and I could not be happier for her and Stephan. I had the honor to make Kelly's wedding cake/cupcakes. I was able to spend the day with my mom baking and we had a blast! 

I also got to spend some time with my dad and he took me to my all time favorite place Miguel's Jr.

Kelly and her Mom treated all the bridesmaids with a spa day and lunch. We had so much fun having a girl's day and she toped it off with these adorable gifts for the wedding.

I got to steal Lexi for the weekend when I headed to Camarillo for the wedding and stay with my Aunt Nannette. Lexi is growing up was too fast. I miss her all the time!

 Michael was so tired from me dragging him around town that he fell asleep in the kids fort. It was adorable!

Jackson Hole

We got the chance to spend some quality time with the family for my father-in-laws 60th birthday. We went to Michael's Aunt's cabin in Jackson Hole and spend a long and very needed secluded vacation. There is something so awesome about not having cell phone service on a vacation! We also played a big prank on Michael while we were up there. He is a HUGE hater of Boise State football and on one of the nights we were there they were playing. So while he was out with his brother we decorated the entire house in Boise State colors. He was very surprised, it was so fun to see his reaction!

Football season

Football season has started! Those of you who know Michael know that he is obsessed with sport's but especially for football and especially for the Utes. Michael and I have been lucky enough to get some free tickets to the games from some of his vendors. I don't particularly love any kind of sports but I really enjoy going to the games. Now that football season has started it means that Michael is now checked out on Sunday which leaves me to a lot of crafts :)

Building

We have been trying to buy our first home for a long time now. We have had 5 offers been rejected and started to feel a little discouraged. Everyone seemed to be in our same price range and the market here in Utah is so HOT right now. We decided to go with building a home with Henry Walker. Our offer has just been accepted and and we couldn't be more excited! We get to design the home with what colors, cabinets, floors, etc. that we want. We hope to be in the home by the end of the year! Its an adorable rambler with plenty of room to grow for the future. :) It's not a great pic, I'll post more when I can!

4th of July!

The 4th is one of my favorite holidays, well most holidays are my favorite but I really enjoy the 4th. My grandparent's let us use their pool and we took advantage of that spent 8 hours at the pool with the family and got some great sun!

Kelly's bridal shower

My amazing friend Kelly is getting married. We have been friends since the 6th grade! I was able to surprise her for one of her bridal shower's. Since she lives in California and I live in Utah she didn't think I would be able to make it down. It was so good to spend some time with her and some old friends from middle school and high school!

Mariah's reception

My cousin Mariah got married, which gave Teanna and an I good excuse to meet with my Mom up in Utah for the reception. It was only for the day and was way too short but it's always so nice to be together. :)

Baby Ashlyn Grace

We have been waiting a long time for this little one. My niece Ashlyn Grace. She is so cute!

Jen's baby shower

My sister-in-law is having a baby girl! Me and my other sister-in-law and my mother-in-law threw her a baby shower at a yummy restaurant and just had so much fun!
