Surprise getaway
Michael is so great at knowing when I need a little break. He surprised me for Valentine's day with a quick getaway to Park City for the weekend. It was exactly what I needed! We sleep a ton, shopped a lot and ate well. The perfect combination!
Alexander Wayne
For those of you who don't know my younger sister Teanna was able to bring a little miracle into the world. Teanna found out last June that she was pregnant and immediately moved in with us. Teanna had one of the toughest decisions a head of her to make and I admired her strength each and everyday. Teanna decided to place her child with one of the most wonderful families I had ever met. Not only would Teanna's son have wonderful parent's he also got the most adorable older brother and sister. We spent the last few months of her pregnancy getting to know the family and Teanna and the family decided to have an open adoption. I was unaware of what this was until then. There are so many different options for adoption and Teanna and the family made the best decision for them.
Alexander (Xander) Wayne was born February 10. I was able to be with Teanna and my Mom as she gave birth. I was a little hesitant at first but I am so glad I was there. It was truly the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed. Words truly cannot describe how I felt in that moment. I have gained the most incredible testimony on the meaning of life and family. Going through the adoption process with my family has been the hardest thing I have ever been through but it has also been the most amazing blessing.

THE IPAD!
Michael had been begging me for this iPad for months now. I pushed the idea away for so long. I thought it was such a waste of money and there was no point at all to have it if we have a desktop and a laptop. After his car was totaled and I was the lucky one that got a new car and he got stuck with my old car. I started to feel a little guilty. I finally promised him that he could get one once we returned from our family reunion. I knew that if he got it before it would be a distraction for not only him but for all the little kids that were there and I didn't want anything happening to it.... That didn't last long. The day we were leaving for the reunion Michael had to head into school for a bit and I had to run some errands as well. I was in target grabbing a few t shirt's for Michael and I walked buy the electronics and saw that they had iPads there. I figured it would be more exciting if it was a surprise so I bought it right there on the spot. I am NOT a good secret keeper and had the hardest time keeping my mouth shut until Michael got home. I hide the iPad at the bottom of the target bag with all his shirts. He finally got home, I told him his new shirts were in a bag next to his suitcase and that he needed to still pack them. He replied by saying thanks and went into the kitchen for a snack. Are you kidding me! I am trying so hard not to have a smile on my face or give it away but I'm dying inside! So I distract myself with my book and try not to think about it. 3 min go by, 5 min go by, 10 min go by... I couldn't stand it any longer! I finally snap a little and say go look at your shirts and pack we got to go! He was a bit surprised by my attitude and told me to relax.. Oh no he didn't! He walked into the bedroom opened the bag, turned to me and gave me a big hug and kiss and jumped up and down! It was so cute and he was so excited and thankful! After about 5 min of playing with the iPad I told him that I wanted my own and he just laughed at me. He is attached to the hip with that thing like it's his child. He then proceeded to tell me that now we need the apple TV. When will this kid be satisfied? Haha

Stella's 2nd Birthday
Jenny's Birthday
Ari gets fixed!
We FINALLY got Ari fixed. I thought it was the best 100$ I have ever spent, but Michael felt so awful and guilty. We had to keep cone on him for 10 days and give him no heavy exercise. He has so much energy it's been so hard to keep him from playing. Only a few more days of keeping him locked up in the house.

Tina's Bridal Shower
My good friend Tina is getting married in July. Her family put together the cutest bridal shower. They had tons of her wedding decor around and her adorable engagement pictures.
Her sister planned a game where she asked Kyle (her fiance) some fun questions and for every question Tina got wrong she had to put a marshmallow in her mouth.
I brought dessert. I should have taken a picture of it before instead of after. I brought mini cupcakes, mini macaroons and cakebites. They were a hit :)
